Today I will do the 7th Wethead valve check and cam timing check.

I have guys from Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, come to PA for me to check cam timing on these new Wetheads as 3 of the 6 have been off, we will see today's results on number 7.

The last I checked had 18K and cam timing and valves were good.  One intake was at 12 and 10 is the limit but the rest were in the middle.

I do have a shim kit so if I find one we can get it in while it is open.

From what I have been told once these move and wear in they do not move much or at all after that.  The last has been checked every 6K and at 18K they were the same as 6K.

I have to say I know guys in the 48-50K range and valves are still in spec on the Wetheads.  I think that is a good sign and backs up all I have herd over the years about the boxer motors.

Now cam timing on the Wethead is a 50% in spec and 50% out and that is not good at all.  Now that is from a small pool of bikes and I have no idea how that relates to the big picture.

If your curious.
