When are BMW going to put heated screens on motorcycles.

This was Easter 2013 (end of March) at Aberfoyle on our way to Applecross.

The temperature plunged overnight, had to wait for the frost to clear off the screen before setting off.

Now that reminds me of the time I rode through Glen Coe one November morning and my dash was telling me it was -5c. We saw a lovely frozen waterfall but I wasn't about to remove my gloves to take a photo !!

Unbelievably, this photo was taken a year earlier, in March 2012.

I wonder what the temperature will be at Easter 2016, last weekend in March.

(Didn't have any heated clothing in 2013.)

Pour hot water over t and blade it off immediately.  I'm afraid you will never see heated windscreens on bikes

I never wait for it to clear (I look over the screen - even on the highest setting.)

As long as you can get the key in the lock & it turns (and the roads are safe) you are good to go.

Best regards

If there is that level of ice on the Screen I would be looking more to the road surface before attempting to set off riding. Year before last (Late September) I stayed overnight at a Hotel right next to Le Puy en Velay / Loudes Airport which is 2800 ft above sea level. Next morning the RT was well and truly iced over. I walked down to the main road to find there was clear evidence of black ice. I hung around till mid morning when the sun had melted the ice and I was on my way, albeit cautiously. Incidently, the road in question is the N102 which a cracker, especially the stretch which runs down the Ardeche valley to Aubenas.

Don't you just pee on the screen?

Okay, perhaps it's just me...
