That's only in wet weather isn't it? While the waxy release agent in the mould wears off.

I've known & seen guys (YouTube) bin bikes with new tyres on in the dry too.

Modern mold release agents are not as bad as used to be. Doesn't take long to scrub it off.

I've got a new pair of Roadsmart 1's still to be fitted, after that, I'll probably be looking for an alternative.

The bike has now done 31,000 miles, that's 5,500 miles on the current, fifth pair of tyres.

Will be getting the new sixth pair fitted on Tuesday.

Installed Roadsmart III's on the R1200RTW front.  After 1,200 hard riding miles still looks pristine.  Can't wait for my Angel GT Pirelli rear to wear down so I can match the front.

My current pair of Roadsmarts have now covered 5,500 miles. They are still legal but ready for changing. Unfortunately the tyres are no longer in production.

Looks like I'll be switching to Michelin Pilot Road 2's.
