The harness to power the topnox light only exists if you have central locking.

Pope & mercator1,
Thanks for the clarification. :)

I've been told that I can buy the harness for $180, even though there's no central locking to plug it in to, but it should power the lights, but it may (or may not) throw a code to the dash.

You can retro fit the OEM led light, as long as you have the power supply to the topbox. But will cost approx £130.

Hi Pope,

Where did you get your OEM LED brake light from ? My reason in asking is that my dealer seems unable to source the required part(s), despite having priced up the option!! ::)
Thanks.

Hi Steve
My local dealer Dick Lovett Motorrad, Bristol. Supplied and fitted the light no problem. So your local Bmw dealer should be no different...??!

As a certain Mr Meldrew would say......"I don't believe it!!!!....." My local dealer is also Dick Lovett of Bristol! Oh dear! Me thinks a certain service desk person has got his proverbial wires crossed on this one! I do also have the bike central locking fitted, so as long as we're talking about the same top box hi-level brake light option, then buying it and having the dealer hook it up shouldn't be an issue!
PS I hadn't realised your local dealer was also Lovetts. If you're that local, we'll have to meet up sometime, perhaps....? Thanks.

Steve.

Hi Steve

You need to talk to either Hayden or Joe at Lovetts, regarding the topbox light.
I'm usually there on a Saturday afternoon for a Coffee, and I'll probably be there at about 4pm this Saturday if you're about.

Cheers
Brian

Hi Brian,

Yes, I sent Haydn an email on the subject yesterday, so I look forward to his response! Re Saturday, no guarantee on my showing up, as non-biking domestics will probably need my attention instead!

Steve.
