This video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxBccbPbpIo, shows the Spark Plug change on a R1200 GSW, a 14mm thin walled socket is used with an extension bar & ratchet.

I use the same set up on my 2012 TC, a 3/8" Drive Socket.

Bought a set from Halfords, although it looks like they sell them individually,
http://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/ ... -3-8-drive.

If you've got the new Spark Plugs, could always take one to check the fit.

Snap-on tools makes  a thin walled 5/8 part number S9720KA pricy $$
Fits perfect
Issue is socket needs to be thin walled or can bind in cylinder head

The 2015 RT BMW Spark Plug Part No. is 12128532942, this is the same as an NGK LMAR8D-J.

From the NGK Website http://www.ngk.com/product.aspx?zpid=29929, (see SPECS),the Hex Size is 14mm.

The Snap-on Spark Plug Socket, Part No. S9720KA is 5/8" (16mm),
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp ... k&tool=all

Checked that the Halfords 14mm, 3/8" Drive, deep (63mm long) thin walled socket fits the Spark Plugs for my 2012 TC RT, same as the 2015 RT with a 14mm Hex Size.

Thanks for confirming the correct size for the 2015 RT.

As you say, the Assenmacher one is available from Amazon, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Assenmacher-SP1 ... B002YK78VI.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. I stopped by Auto Zone and ordered a socket for $4.99. If this socket doesn't work, I will probably go to the Snap-On, MAC or Wunderlich. I'll let everyone know how my $4.99 Socket works.
