Got any questions about the BMW's R1200RT/R1250RT's onboard audio, Bluetooth or the Electrical system?

Heated seat question on RTLC

Post by mercator1 »

I've never had heated seats, so I'm not that familiar with the nuances, but how warm are they supposed to get?  If I turn both the rider and pillion seat controls all the way up, it just barely reaches any noticeable warmth.  It's not cold outside, but I would think I'd still be able to feel some temperature differential.

Sorry, I found another thread with the same complaint.  Apparently a known random issue, and I'll contact dealer.

You will feel next to nothing unless your riding the bike. No good just starting the engine and switching them on.

Ok, I'll turn it on when I run out to lunch.  Thanks.

I think you wont really notice it till it is colder also,  sometimes it just feels like the engine heat is keeping the seat warm but you will notice it as the temps drop
