I don't currently own an R1200RT, but I may do in the near future, in the meantime can anyone point me towards any good youtube reviews/ rides or similar.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

I have a 2014 model don't bother with YouTube go test one to see if you like it not somebody else. Other than that there are some great reviews out there Cycle World, Paul Dean, etc

A test ride(s) at your local dealer has to be the best place to start as Spencer has already said. Certainly, have a browse on YouTube and the like, but there's no substitute for actually riding a demo bike. Also, a credible dealer won't object to more than one test ride and fielding numerous questions about the bike.
