Changing Rear Indicator light on 15 RT

Hi
Have only had my 15 RT for 4 days and the rear indicator light has decided it doesn't want to work any more. Will ring the dealer shortly to see if they can fit me in this arvo but being a Friday doubt that they will.
So my other option if they have a LED in stock would be to pick up after work and fit over the weekend myself, as I have a 400klm ride to get home today.
Not really having had time to look closely at the bike yet was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how hard/easy it is to replace.
any advice appreciated.

thanks
Aussie

Just an update, checked again before ringing BMW and indicator now working again. Did ride thru heavy rain on the way to work so not sure if moisture got in somewhere it shouldn't, but anyhow all good.

If you did have to replace the LED Taillight Cluster, http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpar ... Id=63_1598,
it appears to be one complete unit.

The Rider's Manual (page 147),  doesn't suggest it's a DIY job.

Replacing LED rear light
The LED rear light can be replaced only as a complete unit.
Consult a specialist workshop, preferably an authorised BMW Motorrad dealer.

Replacing LED turn indicators

Having looked at these photos of the Taillight Unit on a K1600, (very similar to an RT),  once access is gained to the rear of the Unit, the task looks fairly straight forward.

I'll be RTMan is right - whatever goes wrong on the RT, the regular cure seems to the be switchgear!
