I have booked a 2 night stay for my wife & I, at the Centre of Britain Hotel in Haltwhistle, http://www.centreofbritain.co.uk/ for the beginning of June 2016.

The idea is:- Day 1 ride to Haltwhistle, Day 2 do a circular ride to Dunsop Bridge (another centre of GB) & back, Day 3 ride Home.

Haltwhistle to Dunsop Bridge is just over 100 miles in each direction, a riding time of approx. 2.5 hours each way.

I have  just booked up as well!  It will just be me though as the wife will be away sunning herself wit her sister.

It would be good to get a few more folks going and put some faces to names...

Thanks Barry, sorry you can't make it, hope you have a good time in Luxembourg.

Perhaps another trip could be arranged for some other time in 2016 when you are available.

Living at Ingleby Barwick, (near Stockton-on-Tees),  we are about 1.5 hours from Haltwhistle.

On Day 1, was thinking about heading to Newcastle, then West along the Tyne Valley, crossing the Bridges over the River Tyne.

On Day 3, could head back home via, Weardale and/or Teesdale, following the Rivers again.

This would make more of the 3 Day Trip.

Sorted mileage, timings and decided what's another 288 miles anyway?
We're booked into the Centre of Britain hotel, sorry guys and gals, we've booked the room with the Sauna and Spa bath.
Looking forward to meeting you all.
Has someone booked the weather?

There are 12 bedrooms in total, 5 bedrooms in the original Hotel, 4 new chalet styled bedrooms in the courtyard
& a neighbouring building providing 3 new high quality suites overlooking Haltwhistle’s historic Market Square.

They have a secure car park at the rear of the hotel with direct access to the rear entrance.

If anyone else would like a copy of the Day 2 Route, please just ask.

If you prefer MapSource, it looks like I may have been successful in transferring it from BaseCamp.
