Looking to purchase a 2010 or 2011 r1200rt and need information

[size=2px]Looking to purchase a 2010 or 2011 r1200rt both around 20,000 km[/size][size=2px][size=2px]This would be my first BMW. What are, if any concerns or issues to inquiry about.[/size][size=2px][size=2px]I read about 2 recalls. (rear wheal flange and gas line connection)[/size][size=2px][size=2px]I also read about expensive electric brake assist repairs however not sure if still an issue on the 2010 and up.[/size][size=2px][size=2px]Rear shaft seal failure because of no air vent. Which they suggest to decrease the quantity of oil.[/size][size=2px][size=2px]anything else I should before purchasing?[/size]

Any dealer will be able to tell you if the rear wheel flange had been done or not, it's a 1/2 hour free recall. Servo brakes went out in 2006. There are no issues with the drive drive if it's been properly serviced. Fuel Line recall was a long time ago.

Just ensure it has a full service history.

I purchased a used 2012 RT from a BMW Dealer, it had a FBMWSH, with 2 previous owners.
I crawled all over it, it certainly wasn't as clean & well cared for as it would have been if it had been mine from new.
It didn't have a fender extender fitted, this may have contributed to the Timing Cover being corroded & the exhaust system looking shabby for it's age.
The cylinder head covers were partially corroded too.
Look out for any signs of corrosion on other alloy parts, e.g. final drive unit/swinging arm & footrest hangers etc.
Are the brake calipers clean & pads in good order.
Check out other fixtures & fittings like caliper & final drive unit bolts etc. if these are in good condition, there's a good chance the bike has been looked after meticulously.
Have either or both of the handlebar switches been replaced, had one fail in Germany & the other changed back in the UK.
If you are purchasing from a BMW Dealer, it should come with a Used Bike Warranty.
Check out when the next service is due, if it's serviced before you ride away, you've got 6,000 miles or 1 year before it'll need doing again.
