Hello All

Post by yorkieboy »

Just traded my ZZR1400 for a Blue 1200RT SE.

We froze on Sunday for the 2 hour trip to Seaham to get the bike, what a revelation on the way back, ( well for me!!). Warm hands, bum and no wind on my face. My jacket and helmet were being ripped off and my feet were warm too.

Only criticism i have at the moment is the lack of space on the pillion seat. SWMBO kept banging her head against me which is surprising as my old R1100RS didnt have this problem.

Nice one, felt exactly the same way !  BTW do you have a top box fitted, my other half used to keep falling asleep and only the top box saved me from losing her! Seriously though, with it fitted she could sit back and we didn't have that problem.

Engine, modes can calm things down for her while you get used to fly by wire.  Mine ended up with a neck brace after her first ride in dynamic mode.

What year is the RT, Seaham isn't far from me in Teesside, was it a Private or Dealer purchase.

Could it be a more upright riding position on the RT v's the RS & ZZR.

Its a 2007 model. Was bought through a trader. Its something that needs addressing.  Damn annoying lids clashing every 5 mins

Better stop looking for engine modes then.

Was it James Price, he seems to have a reasonable stock of BMW's.
