May through off TPM system, leaves a mess inside the tire. Interesting enough many hi end cars, including BMW, porsche and Mercedes come with their version of flat fix

I don't think you will have a problem with using it. When you get to change  the tire, the rim will require a good cleaning to get the goop off. The TPMS is a solid state device so it shouldn't affect it.

Did you try a tire rope or plug?

The problem is the likes of Fix a Flat is they insert the sealant through the valve and that knackers up the sensor.

We were stuck on a 3 foot shoulder of the interstate with 18-wheelers flying by and dusk approaching.  Didn't have any choice but to use the fix-a-flat and get off the highway. Wonder what the dealer will charge for the whole job (breaking down, cleaning, installing new tire)?
