My bike went in to the dealer for its 1st service on Thursday, i told about them about slight coolant leak from the tell tale hole on the left hand engine block? only done 1800 miles well they have replaced the water pump and or seals?. i also mentioned that the riders heated seat won't get "HOT" so they are now waiting on BMW getting back to them???. Maybe i need a hot water bottle...

I'm surprised they swapped the water pump.  Nearly every pump on all the water cooled boxers admit a slight sprey of coolant for some time from new.  It sometimes looks like lots but normally the level does not drop.  I understand dealers were instructed not to swop them until they had time to bed in.  Mine took 2K and a few mountain passes to stop.

Think RTman10 he's asking will they ? Mine did the same when new. Think it stopped leaking at about 3000 miles. Had one top up. Just ride the bike and check the coolant level it should settle down. Some have had the pump changed.

Had a new water pump fitted at 1100 miles. Clearly a fault. I would have been very annoyed if it had not been replaced.

I think generally I'm happier if the engine remains intact, especially if it's a problem that is likely to clear it's self.

They all used to burn a bit of oil for a time.  Now it's just oozing blue stuff for a bit.
Still not sure if LC cool has a new one or not.
