Mine is 2 years old next week.  Having recieved nothing from BMW I checked it on line only to get a big red message asking me to ring them.  They have confirmed its extension by 3 months due to the dreaded recall.  I'm a little surprised as I did not become its owner until the day it was fixed.  Not going to complain though.

Paid the first instalment on a BMW Insured Warranty with Emergency Service today. The policy start date will be 28/03/2018, just in time for Easter weekend and/or 1st April 2018.

With £100 excess, the monthly payment is £35.09, I'll pay it for 7 months to get me through to the end of October 2018.

My 2018 Insured Warranty has now lapsed.

Looking ahead to 2019, thought I'd get an online quote with the intention of paying the first instalment in March for a start date in April.

With £100 excess, for the Warranty & Emergency Service, the monthly premium atm. is £35.00.

Just got a quote for another BMW Insured Warranty, https://www.motorrad-warranty.co.uk/Login/Index

Including Roadside Assistance with a £100 Excess, the "Monthly Pay As You Go" premium is £35.00 per month, hasn't gone up!

I'll pay the first instalment on Sunday 1st March 2020, to be effective from 1st April 2020.

7 payments will get me through to the end of October 2020.

Recently had a query with respect to the cover provided by the BMW Insured Warranty. Phoned the 0345 number in the policy handbook, was then given a phone number of 01252 920 125. I believe this is for the Insured Warranty claims department in Farnborough. I was told that BMW Motorrad (UK) were in the same building along the corridor. I was given an email address of [email protected] Using this address, via the claims dept. they were able to speak directly to BMW Motorrad (UK) on my behalf.

Thought I might post the info. here for future reference, hopefully, it won't be needed too often.

My "Monthly Pay As You Go" policy starts on Wednesday this week, 1st April 2020. I'm considering firing the bike up whilst I've got 30 days cover. Hopefully all will be OK, if not, I'll be phoning BMW. After that, I'll cancel the policy ufn., the next payment is due on 25th April. Can't see the point in paying for something I'm not going to use.

How about this for a result. I've cancelled my warranty policy with immediate effect, I'll get a £35 refund because it's within 14 days of the start date.

Have spoken to the warranty sales team too. They have confirmed that BMW are offering customers a payment holiday of 60 days. What this means for me is that I can re-start the policy within the 60 days with immediate cover. Won't have to wait the normal month for the policy to start.

As I have breakdown/recovery cover with my insurance, I may not even bother with a warranty this year.

Just spoke to BMW extended warranty. Apparently I will receive notification that my manufacturers warranty is extended till end of June instead of ending 30th April and the Extended warranty takes over 1st July when that ends. This will also be the same for breakdown cover.

Policy cancelled on 1st April, £35 back in my credit card account the very next day, happy days, although I'd rather be riding my bike.

Had the extended warranty/roadside on my 2016 RT for 2 years now so far on its 2nd set of chrome headers,1 quickshifter and a complete beveldrive and swing arm, also 1 roadside assist(flat battery)and included a lovely 3 series M Sport estate for the use of courtesy of Enterprise,so in my eyes its well worth the £350.00
