Hi Not the rear hub further forward at bottom of enginee/gearbox area

Don't leave it. Sounds like a gearbox seal. This can quickly lead to a ruined clutch. Not a cheap repair but a very necessary one.

Have to admit very disappointed in this bike been running BMW cars for years very reliable ok bike is 10 year old but only 20k on it and that's an expensive oil leak brake warning light coming on again and if looking close corrosion and paint starting to bubble all over, anyway enroute south if the border to look at another one

A BMW Insured Warranty costs about £30 per month, there is a 1 month moratorium before any claim, just a thought.Highlandbear wrote:That's an expensive oil leak & brake warning light coming on again.
