Dynamic ESA Question

Post by Rwslater »

I have a 2015 1200RT with the Dynamic ESA.  I ride around one up without the top case, just the two side cases.  They are usually empty. The ESA gives me an option of One Up, One Up with Luggage, and Two Up.  My question is if it is just me, with empty cases, should I use the One Up or One Up with Luggage.  I know that if I have them packed for a trip, I use the One Up with Luggage, but what if they are empty.  Thoughts?

It's One up with luggage not Panniers.

Depending on your own weight, my suggestion would be One Up.

The system is semi-active and will compensate for most things.  Set it for what feels right to you comfort/handling wise and don't read too many technical explanations.

Following the BMW guidelines is probably the best advice.

I like to ride with the pre-load set to 1+ luggage when I'm alone and unloaded.  Puts a bit more weight on the front which I prefer the feel of.

I agree with RTMan10 (as usual) - just go with what feels best for you...
