New guy from Naples FL

Just want to say hello. I bought a '16 R1200RT about a month ago. I picked it up the day before leaving on a 7 day cruise. Boy was that a long cruise.
I had an new '06 until '09 but my wife did not really care for it. Luckily I still had my trusty old GL1800 that we continued to ride. Sold the Wing in 2013 with 175,000 miles on it because my wife was not riding with me much anymore. She hates riding down here in S Florida. Bought a 2013 FJR & really liked that bike but it was very rough on my knees and had a lot of heat on my left leg. I also had a '11 Concours for 1 1/2 years before going to the FJR. So now I'm back on an RT and loving it. Typical day rides for me are 500 - 600 miles lunch rides to nicer parts of FL further north. Long weekend rides take me to N Georgia and the mountains. I try to get up there 4 -5 times a year for some quality riding.
New RT is ebony with all of the options!
