Akrapovic

Post by Casbar »

Fitted a Akrapovic I sourced from a German BMW dealer. Sounds great, but I noticed the screw that holds the db killer in, has a tiny spot weld on it, presumably to stop you taking the baffle out. Is this normal or is this possibly a German legislation thing? Would take much to release the spot weld with a Dremel. Happy with the sound, just wondering  :)

Think you might find with it out it's too noisy.  I had a Remus without one on an 07 . Wife was not impressed.  Down the line, take it out and loose it and it will fail,it's MOT.

The two Akrapovic system I have had on my Euro K1300S have not had the spot well so it could be a German thing...  Peter

Found out on another forum most do have the spot weld, but it just breaks if you undo it.
