Engine damage...?

is there a possibility that some damage may occur to the engine as a result of a drop while stationary...

Do you have the BMW engine guards installed, or any other aftermarket guards? From a stationary drop, you would have to be pretty unlucky to damage the engine itself. However, the cylinder head covers are brittle and can crack if you hit them just right. I dropped mine once when stopped at a sharp turn and the road angle made me lose my balance. No damage whatsoever to the engine, other than scratching the plastic cover on the stock cylinder guards. Inspect visually, and look for a slow oil leak which could indicate a crack.

Thank you. So I am ok...I installed all protection gear after the drop .... :alas:
