Rumours seem to thinks so. The GS  could produce 155ps and 140Nm of torque. Obviously the RT would follow suit.

I was looking at buying a WC shortly, bit might just hang on.....

Think the GS is a forgone conclusion. RT would follow, but not for a year I would think. Probably an engine update for EU4 but not a new bike per say.

I would think not.  Since 1996 the RT has gone 1100,1150 and 1200.  Power 90, 95, 100, 110 and now 125. To jump up 30 bhp seems too much and as the engine is only 3 years old much too soon.

The RT has always followed the GS , so I'm sure it will be getting the new engine as well. In a way it's a pitty, as the first 1200RT had a nice evolutionary model run for nearly 9 years. This will make the current RT 'old hat's in half the time.
I test rode a GS WC the other day, lovely engine and plenty of poke. Maybe I'm getting old, but it was plenty frisky enough for me. 155ps would put it inline with the FJRs etc I guess.

Interesting pic's looks like final drive on GS moves back to right side,
At best RT would be a 2018 model, i'am very happy with my 15, don't plan on switching anytime soon

I wouldn't take much notice if an organisation that can't even print spook photos the right way round.

Will they just update the current engine to EU4 then?

I hope your right, I moved to BMW many years ago from a Honda Fireplace in an attempt to 'slow down' and enjoy the ride, thus avoiding the inevitable ban or excessive points building up (plus a beer belly in a power ranger suit is not a good look).
It would be a shame, imho, if BMW go mainstream - the race for horsepower, model changes every 3 years etc. :(
I think it's to late now though, it's happening...

I find this whole thing difficult to believe - any of it.

IMHO a 155bhp GS is a really stupid idea.  The fact that a normal rider can actually off-road a GS is one of its real points of difference.  I thought the whole point of the XR was to allow BMW to compete with the Katoom and the Mutley without risking damaging the customer franchise that everybody envies - the GS.

As for an even more powerful RT, I for one don't feel the need.  I came to my RTLC from a 150bhp Multistrada and reckon that I'm quicker over the ground on the RT - and I enjoy it more because everybody thinks I'll just be another fat old bloke on an RT that bimbles along but it turns out I'm not.

Of course, if you have a slow(er) blue RT, maybe you do need the extra bhp.  Some of us have the extra-fast paint job instead.

Oh - and I reckon that BMW rumours website is written by the same Nigerian prince that keeps emailing me, telling me he's going to send me $1,000,000 if I just let him have my bank account details...

Brilliant Richard. It always amazes me people who crave for more BHP when they cannot ride with what they already have. Next time you're (155BHP gang) having a spirited ride on our 125 BHP RT LC try to measure the amount of time you actually use 100 % of the power. I doubt many actually do before the hedge looms up, buttocks clench and the brain transmits "Its time to brake". Who wants more power, not me. However if any of the $1,000,000 is up for grabs then I'm in. Someones having a laugh. :)
