I got my Nav V for £500, was told trade price by the dealers when I collected the bike, didn't think that was a bad deal, however someone out there may know better.....?

Yep, just about trade price. Most would only do that if linked to a bike sale of course.

Rumor NAV 6 in the fall
If it's as different as Garmin area 550 to the new 660 i' l be first in line
New Garmin uses a iPhone type screen and is 100% sunlight readable

Hope it's better than the Nav5!  Mind you, hard not to be better!

What is wrong with the Nav V then? I came from a 660 and have no issues with the Nav V, find it very good. Connects to the phone, music and navigates fine.

Google
Garmin area660 it's their newest aviation handheld GPS picked one up last week compared to the 550 series it's night and day more readable in direct sunlight
I've been told it's the next improvement? In the BMW nav spectrum

Garmin 550 is the aviation version of the nav 5/660/665
Same size screen is the same

But the Garmin 660 is not the equivaant of the Nav V. The Nav V is more advanced and has a quicker processor. Never had a sat nav for aviation, in my day we used circular slid rules  :)

Quite right.  The 660 was a Nav IV with an audio outlet and used a Standsrd SD card, and  has a smaller and far less bright  screen. It was only touch screen operated with no overriding cradle functions.  It went out of production about 4 years ago.  And the 550 was the predecessor to the 660, nearly steam powered.

Two different garmins
AREA 660 is the very latest aviation handheld released in May of this year
660/665 are same as nav 4/5 in size and looks
And yes I started with a E6B computer, still have my USAF one from 1971, not that I remember how to use the darn thing😁

Quick look st it's specs dont seem to have anything to do with a GPS on a bike, but you never know. Sounds like another wild roumor.  There was one last month about a 155 bhp GS.
