Hi All, i am looking for a used R1200RT, here in the UK. It must be a "non servo" model (ie late 2006 onwards?). Budget is £4,000

If you have one for sale, please let me know

Thanks

Hi DS99

I'm considering selling my 2005 RT
Full Service History, recently had a new brake servo fitted by BMW, new fuel level sensor and new Michelin Pilot 4 tyres about 1500 mile ago
Mint condition and dry garaged
Due to the brake service cost £1800 I'm looking at a £4800, the mileage is only 15000
I would also sell the the TomTom400 ride as its fittes wvis a machined bracket ( or I could remove)

I think that all 1200 rt are servo, only difference is till aug. 2006 they have ABS l, from this date is ABS ll, the first one is electrically helped braking all the time, and second is also electrically helped, but only in moving, when bike stop also motor stop working. Sorry for my english.

Not correct.  only 2005 and 2006 had an electro servo fitted.  After that normal brakes but semi linked.

I own 2007 1200 rt, and I know that is with electric servo pump, because I repaired ABS module (known problem with brushes on electric motor),atached foto of dismounted module.

I doubt it if your bike was produced in 2007.  When you squeeze the brake hand lever after you have started the bike can you hear the servo working.  And also with the engine switched off is there much more play in the lever, And you have only residual braking.

This BMW VIN Decoder, http://www.bmwvin.com/, can be used to find the "Production Date" of your Bike & any "Optional Equipment" etc.

Looking at RealOEM, it suggests that the braking system was changed in August 2006,

Here in the UK there seems to be tons of 2005-2006 servo model RTs for sale, and hardly any 2007 non-servo models for sale.

A bit of haggling on this one maybe?
The bodywork looks nice, not a silly amount of miles and non-servo :-)

Or a possible bargain here, no bids and not long to go
