I understand what you mean Tango, but if you ride the bike at 60% and defensively, no harm should come to it. The CBX is well over ten grands worth so that tends to focus the mind.

We have:
An '82 CBX which is still one of our favorite two up riders. Not the best handling, stopping, storage ride; but we really enjoy it and it's always a conversation starter.
A black (built in Marysville) '80 which is a real looker.
A sliver '79 which I rescued from a kid who had no appreciation for the bike or how to maintain it.
And I think I forgot to add our GB500 to our current list.
Another fun bike which won't win any handling, power, stopping contests.
We are about maxed out on acquiring any additional bikes. Getting ready to thin the herd a little.

I am very content with my three BMW's. A 1974 R90S I bought late '74, a 2010 K1300S bought early '10, and a 2015 R1200RTw bought early '15. Hard to say which is my favorite. The R90S has so many memories (got married and went on honeymoon on it for one). The K1300S is a cruise missile. Have not had any serious competition on performance. The R1200RT has more farkel from the factory than most bikes have available aftermarket. Wife and I enjoy long rides (Billings, Mt and Yellowstone Park in '15).

I'm old and started collecting early.
