This RT Forum was set up by STeinar in July 2014, how about a get together in 2017.

Based on the idea of the centre of GB, I'll kick it off with a suggestion of meeting at Lancaster in July.

With the average age of RT owners would suggest Bournemouth is more appropriate being the retired capital of UK apparently.

The problem with the center of GB is that it's not the center of the majority of the population and presumably the members attending  ;)

Looking at the members map  I would suggest the Cat & Fiddle Pub.

Make it outside School holidays or i won't be able to make it for one and secondly, no matter where you go it will become cost prohibitive.

everything is ten times the price during the school holidays.

May i suggest the Cotswolds. Nowhere near me but great roads

Would folks like to just ride in/ride out for the day or make more of it with overnight accommodation.

Last time I went to the Cat and Fiddle it was a fight to get past all the cameras .  Don't know if it's still the same but the riding is still good.
Another suggestion for central England would be the Nationsl Motorcycle Musium in Birmingham.  Been there once and was right impressed with the place. You could make it an overnight there as there is a very large Premier Inn close by at the NEC.

When I worked for a national charity we used Birmingham for our Central meetings which on the whole was acceptable by it's members  :)

Even more of an incentive, £2 off the admission cost for most of us old gits.

The Centre of England could be good, but where is it, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centre_po ... ed_Kingdom

The Premier Inn at the NEC Birmingham sounds perfect, just need a date now.

Perfect in what way???

Wouldn't it be nicer to meet up somewhere with some decent roads to ride?

Mind you, if we did opt for the NEC, I could come by train!

Depends where your coming from I suppose.  But if you want an overnight stay no good heading for some small village in the middle of nowhere.  It's a nice ride to the Cat and Fiddle for many but short of hanging around in the car park for an hour there's nothing.

I thought it was to meet up to put faces to names.  As you can expect people to come from all directions the ride they have is up to them.  The NEC by the way is not in the centre of Birmingham so picking a reasonable route in won't be too difficult David suggested a get together not a tour or a ride out.
