RealOEM comes up with this, http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpar ... &diagId=52

Real OEM stipulates this is for the lowered suspension bike.  I can't see how its fitting would be different to the normal bike unless the rear frame is a little different. They are very hard and thin though.

Have confirmed with a friend who has a heated BMW comfort seat fitted to a TC RT, his bike does not have lowered suspension.

From BMWLT Forum, "No the bike is not the lowered version but when you fit the comfort seat you have to remove the front adjuster bar and the middle seat mounts."

Don't see what your getting at David.  The Comfort seat is made for any RT 2005 to 13.  It is non adjustable for height.  The extra low bench seat as far as I can remember  fits the same ie all the height adjustment bits are removed from the bike. But the extra low version is shown as only suitable for the factory lowered bike.
I'm still sure that the Comfort version is a little higher than the normal low seat to sit on.

Sorry to jump in on your post. But I have just (yesterday) picked up an RT. With my winter trousers on I am a touch tip toe and have read about a reduced high seat ??? Would this be the comfort seat. if so I need to get one. Can anyone help.
Thanks Mark.
P.s. Love the bike.

That depends on what seat you have st the moment. David has posted in the past a page showing all the types.  I'm sure he can dig it out so you can work out which one you have

Sorry for any confusion, John is correct, there are two versions of the BMW comfort seat.
Looks like both fit with or without lowered suspension.

I know, having sat one one for a number of months that the Comfort seat is exactly that.  It's by far the best BMW seat I have ever owned.
On the other hand the extra low bench seat is best described as a plank.

Sorry and yes September 2006. I have it set on the lowest position and on one rider. It would be nice to loose even just a few mm. It has caught me out a couple of time already especially if the road tips away or your on a slight camber.
The comfort bench seat which seems to do the job but has been described as a Plank so I may avoid that. If anyone has a part number and or supplier for the lower seat I would be very much appreciated.
I have covered just short of 100miles since picking her up and although I don't have heated seats the fairing, adjustable screen and heated grips kept me comfortable.

i had the comfort seat but found, although the seat itself was comfortable, the "wedge" meant i could not move around on the seat (it fixes you in one position) and hence i suffered knee pain

Since the extra low bench seat does bot have heat, doesn't solve my problem.
What about having the seat trimmed by a professional?
Anyone made it to a heated seat or the heating elements don't allow it?

Have you any idea what size seat you have now.  If nobody knows that they can't tell you what would be lower.  The two bench seats are completely different from one another by the way.  The one like a plank is the extra low one.  It's in no way a Comfort seat.
