Looks like the 3 pin GPS plug won't go into 2 pin horn socket, plus the shape of the plug/socket is different.

Apologies - I hadn't read the whole post. I saw the 3 pin plug from eBay, and thought it would be the same as the 3 pin GPS one I got recently.

I think the answer is that the 3 pin plug from ebay (£10) is the same as the 3 pin GPS (BMW plug),  neither will fit the 2 pin horn socket.

Which BMW dealer is selling them for £3.99.

oh i don't know, i've had it with all these f*cking different plugs. it's a pain in the arse.
