Thanks for the replies, I decided to go with the BRUHL BD1240 and it arrived yesterday so I decided to give it a go. I am always going to use a microfiber cloth on the panels as I apply a wet wax at the same time. However the warm air blow dryer is excellent for switch gear; dash, engine fins, frame, foot rests and of course for panel gaps! I think it will also work wonders on my classic car spoke wheels/chrome fittings! Bit of a luxury I agree, but a good addition to the garage in my view! Peter

Also own one which has given me fault free operation for years and a lot cheaper. So you could own two more if needed compaired to others sold at a lot higher price. Does the job and would recommend them rather than purchasing the more expensive ones.
But it comes down to choice and what the individuals wants or is prepared to pay.

Glad it works for you. If mine ever blows up maybe consider a pet drier. Always thought that the pet version would produces significantly less airflow. My Airforce Blaster if aimed at a pet would shout them into another county. Obviously pet drier has enough airflow with the added bonus of producing hot air. The Airforce Blaster has no internal heater, the air is slightly warmer than ambient due to compression thats all.

Air Force Blaster and Bruhl look like the most popular "branded" motorcycle dryers. Pet dryers seem to do the same job for less money.
Has anyone recently purchased a dryer, if so, which one and why did you choose that particular make/model, thank you.

I have a leaf blower, I have used it on the bike but not every wash... Im lazy
Main bit I want blow dried is the brakes, I hate the pads rusting / marking the discs

Before washing my bike, I've taken to backing off the F&R pads so that the wheel spins freely. At the moment, I use a hair dryer which was passed on to me, to dry the pads/discs.
Not forgetting to pump up the brakes before the next ride.
When I first got the present, used 2012 Camhead, the rear disc had some pitting similar to the photo below. The pitting wasn't as bad as this and was polished out. The shape and size of the pitted area does look like it may have been caused by the rear brake pads.

Pet dryer, same output as a well known bike dryer. Bright pink as £5 cheaper than other colour with free delivery at £50.

That pet drier has an airflow max of 65m/s = 12795 ft/min
Airforce Blaster airflow is 29250 ft/min
You need a good airflow to efficiently dry a bike in cold weather. I don't see that a pet drier is going to be very efficient.

May not be as efficient but does job at under 1/4 of price. Agree colder weather takes longer but considering 80% dont ride in cold weather!!!
Joking aside it does work well.

A concern is how noisy are these dryers, this one has a variable speed control. I do only ride my bike April to October. I use a waffle cloth to get most of the water off and the hair dryer to drive the remaining water out of those hard to reach areas. When All Year Biker have treated my bike, they use something like the Air Force Blaster and the guy wears ear defenders.

Bought mine from here - Sidekick blaster. Been faultless for over a year and is big enough to do the job. But more expensive than a pet dryer
