Aux Running Light Mounting

Has anyone got any bright ideas on how I can mount a pair of aux running lights on a 2010 1200RT. I am trying to avoid buying brackets from BMW.

That would be difficult. They don't make any.

I fitted a pair of Ring lights under my mirrors by bolting the mounting bracket to the underside of the mirror housing. The mirror internals need to be removed to allow holes to be drilled and the space for nuts and bolts is limited, but it all worked. It looked a little Heath Robinson before the mirror internals were reinstated but looked fine then and everything worked until I was ready to trade the bike in, at which point I removed them.
