I was looking at backrests for the driver. Can anyone tell me if the bolt pattern for mounting these (under the seat) for a 2014 1200rt is the same as the 2013 model?

I know of nothing under any seat designed to take a backrest. BMW don't make one so hy would there be any.

Their site shows different models for each bike and they look very different. Answer is sure to be no. You could of course ask them.

Definitely not - frame completely different from to 2013 to 2014.
