Just tried to book the flex rate online for both nights....


As my card expires before the departure date, their booking system won't let me proceed (even if I elect to pay now).


Having lost the will to live, I now have to go and look for that!!

Being unable to book Saturday 7th July 2018 only atm, is not unique to the PI at Leicester South (Oadby).
I did check other PI's but the same applies, looks like it could be their policy at the smaller hotels.
Having spoken to PI, the only way around it seems to be to book 2 nights, then cancel one at a later date.

Saturday night only may be available nearer to the date, but it's a gamble.

Sorry it seems like a bit of a chew & hope it doesn't put folks off booking up.

Will be interesting to hear how John (Sullivj) gets on.

His cards expire too soon too, so I've spoken to my bank and they're sending me a new one. Hope to be a 'confirmed' booking I'm the next few days.

Jolly good, will be interested to know how you get on with the PI booking "loophole".

When I suggested the idea of booking 2 nights, then cancelling one at a later date, the PI representative said, "it should work, but I haven't told you to do it."

With the option to "pay on arrival" & free cancellation up to 1pm on the day of travel, there's nothing to loose in giving it a go.

That would just be fine Dave, we would probably be leaving the PI at 10:00, this gives time for locals to ride in on the day.

My new bank card arrived, with an expiry date after July 2018, so I was able to book 2 nights online. Remember that I only want one, but you can't book the Saturday only...


I then tried to cancel the second unwanted night online, as the reservations team advised me to do, but the system would not let me cancel it.


Instead, I phoned the hotel on 0333 321 1088, and they cancelled the second night for me.


So, Tim and I are booked and confirmed for Saturday night, at £74 each. FINALLY!!!!!
