Please be informed there is a Santa Claus

Post by Sprintgull »

Morning all,

Quoting the infamous words from Apollo 8 at Christmas in '68 as they confirmed the engine to get them home had worked as planned: Please be informed there is a Santa Claus

Why? Well, I had a big lump hooked out of the left leg in November (all connected to the wonky bone stuff I have) and much to the hilarity of all the medics I said 'I'll be riding again by Christmas'. So, on 23rd Dec Boris the Black Pig was wheeled out of the garage and off we went. Ok, a short and very gentle ride, but that's not the point. It felt terrific! I'm Cured(ish)!

This isn't intended as a gloat on my part, but perhaps a bit of encouragement to anyone struggling to get back aboard whoever and wherever they are. Work at it and dreams can come true, you ain't beat until you quit.

Sermon over - see you out there somewhere.

Happy New Year everyone.  be
