Collected the 'new' bike from dry dock today. New tyres and the niggles apparently sorted, hopefully.

Need some nice dry weather now to get the tyres scrubbed in and my ageing bones back to bike fit.

I noticed they have 4 very well presented RTs, photos and details that I will try and post below if anyone is shopping just now.

Might be worth a look, CMC Clay Cross.

Best I can do for now as she's already gone to bed. Carpet is Axminster by the way. Only the best for my 'new' baby

Always tempted by an RT and the two FJR 1300s that were parked by the side of the RTs. However, trying to be a bit sensible after a 4 year lay off but heyho, who knows.

Agreed. Went out this afto to scrub the new tyres in. Bit cool but lovely sunshine and freshly treated leathers with elastic sort of breathy panel in the crutch area. Nice twisty route, plenty to choose from as you say, and all is well for the first ten miles. It then started pi$$ing down, worst rain I can ever remember biking in. Wet crutch within minutes, haven't had one of those for many a year, standing water in the road and on one of the twistiest, steepest bits of road in the Peak and new tyres.  :)

Good practice all the same and looking forward to the next ride. You're right, the Transalp is a grand little bike and it's nice in a way to get back to basics. Had same model 20 years ago and it was high tech then. Just shows how things have moved on.

I bet you said 'Yes please'  :P
It was good to be out with the young dudes again despite the constant demand for 'fag breaks'. The surfit of profane language I suppose is only to be expected from the youth of today.
Must do it again before another four years passes us by. Thanks lads for your company and craic today.

There you go, 'feckless youth'. No way to speak to Michael.

Nice looking 'rice burner' in the photo though, not so sure about the ones either side.

Just a little footage from the French alps last month. Please feel free to give me any advice/tips on anything to improve my riding? Yes, I know I'm on a GS, so don't be giving me bad advice on downgrading to an RT :-D :thumb:

Booked my RT in for an Mot next Saturday. I've decided I'm keeping it now and going to use it for 4 months of the year 😊
