I've spent the day looking for R1250RT's in case mine is written off. This has caught my eye, it's not even run in, Option 719 bike 2019 with 1566 miles.

If thats the one from SuperBike Factory.
I would read the reviews for them first.
IMO I would never buy a bike from them.

This is a nice RT for a bit less.

Yesterday i spent some time sorting the wife Yamaha xj6f ready to be used.
She has not used it since she was knocked off it last August.
I had done the repairs last year, But wanted to service and double check everything.
Today i sorted out the road tax on it.
SWMBO has 11 days off work as she never works around her birthday.
So its now time to get some riding done together.

Just spent a hectic 3 days with the grand kids. Piper whose is four loves sitting on the bike and pushing the horn and looking at herself in the mirrors but the engine running is her best bit. I bought her a little rockers motorbike jacket as a present. She would not take it off for love or choccy eggs.
After a few hours of cleaning and putting bit and pieces back in the house where there are meant to be, we can sit down to a well deserved cup of Tea.

This morning the ball and chain and myself got out for a little ride.
It was only 50 miles on both bikes as its the first time she has ridden since being knocked off last year.
We then took her bike home and did another 25 miles 2 up on the RT. It was my first time with a pillion.
We both had a good time and it was nice to ride together again on 2 bikes.

I was coming down home stretch in the LEO (ex patrol bike) Tupperware reassembly after finally restoring low beams, eagerly anticipating putting some miles on the highway eater when Missy said, "Nice day for a ride" ... exactly what I was thinking, until she went on to say, "I mean ME taking a ride ... on Piglet". (Her died-in-the-wool HOGs-Forever brother restored and gave her this diminutive 1978 Honda XL75 that kind-of named itself)

The recently licensed grandma on this itty-bitty 6-horsepower, 175-pound, 4-speed, kick-start-only bike is completely incompatible with me on Leo yet she obviously wanted me to accompany her on Dr Zee, of course cuz he can putt along back roads at her pace. It was a good outing. I'm glad we went.

I got Leo ready to roll after we got home, but too late for a nice ride in deer and elk country. If not tomorrow, someday soon the mountain curves beckon.

My bike has been taken for assessment today arranged by the insurance handlers.

I have gone through the video of the collision in slow time, when the car turned into me it was not on the roundabout, but on the northbound A5 dual carriageway by a few feet, approx 20 feet from the 2 lane roundabout centre line. So, turning back on to the roundabout.

The diagnosis from the fracture clinic & Physio, no broken bones but damaged tendons/ligaments in the front of the shoulder, I can't move the arm behind my back. An injury claim is in progress.

I found a bike very close to mine with the same spec + radio & DLR lights. It's build date is 3 weeks earlier and has done 1100 miles more, I don't think I'll find a closer bike if mine is written off. https://approvedused.bmw-motorrad.co.uk ... ?on=525229

I would take some screenshots of that just in case it sells before you get the pay out

That way you have evidence of the price just in case they try to do you over! its not a first for insurance to undervalue bikes

As wife is off work, we got out again today for another ride. Roads were a bit wet but it did not rain.

Took a leisurely ride out to Hayling Island (Hampshire, UK). Despite learning to swim there, many, many years ago, I don’t really visit the island that often as it fills up with ‘Grockles’ during the summer months.

Found a beach side cafe so refuelled on a cuppa tea and a bacon ‘n’ egg bap 8-) The Spinnaker Tower, in Portsmouth (Gunwharf Quays), is just about visible above the blurry images of the buildings on the opposite shoreline.
Slow in, fast out.
