2009 R1200 RTP Radio box

just purchased and had a 2009 RTP DELIVERED. I could not open the radio top box. There is a hinge,on the front but I couldn't find any latch or release. How do you open it. ALSO.  Any tips or recommendations about the bike would be greatly appreciated

There should be a key lock above the number plate immediately below the rear hump. The ignition key should open it

Just some advice on the ex police rtps. There is loads of wiring for the radios lights etc and worthwhile taping up any that are dead as very confusing. Have you found the second battery yet in the tank box? I replaced mine with a smaller capacity battery as it was well past its sell by and it provide a second batter,y for jumping and running auxiliaries off. Have to strip  half the bike off to get to access the box.  Once you get into the radio box you can take a load of heavy metal fitting off which reduces weight and increases space which isn't great. Have fun.
