2016LC - Touratech Upper Crash Bars

Has anyone successfully installed the upper crash bars? I have the required lower crash bars, but the fit on the uppers seems to not be possible. Also, the part that attaches to the screw hole on the speaker is very suspect.

Have you tried loosening off the lower crash bar fixings to help with alignment?

Unfortunatley, i did- and that didnt do the trick. The amount of adjustment needed would require me to unfasten the lowers, then they wouldnt fit  :shirty:
