Fully charge the battery (the Haynes manual says 12.8 volts) & leave it to stand for at least one hour before carrying out any voltage tests.ddevane wrote:Any idea what the hell is going on.

The "Starting Load Test" might be worth trying to determine the battery capacity.
What battery is fitted to the bike.
13.85 volts when running sounds reasonable, does the voltage remain the same when high beam is selected.
