Garmin VI - not connecting to PC

Just purchased a RT1200 LE 2018 with a Garmin 6 - it wont connect to PC via Garmin express.
Using the original USB " data" cable - tried various settings in the hidden menu - still no joy , cant even see it in explorer.
Any one else had similar issues before I call the dealer.

Have you tried another micro-USB cable? When the Nav is connected to the PC, File Explorer and BaseCamp should be able to see it. Do other devices work in the PC’s USB port?

Try it in a laptop or another PC if able.

Ok sorted , tried it on a Win 8 Pc it works , but not on WIn 10 for some reason.

I use mine on Win 10 without any issues but do have problems with which USB cable I use.

I have a Navigator V, and have the same problem, not immediate connect to Windows 10 laptop.
Once i let the Navigator stay connected and it connect after about 5 minutes.
After that i let the Navigator stay connected to the laptop and it always connect, from 3min to 6min.
Maybe this will work on Navigator VI.

I had a similar issue with my win 10 pc. I changed to a win 10 laptop and everything works fine. I use the same USB cable as before.
Narrowed the problem down to the USB socket I believe.

Exactly the same issues here!
My main problem I have worked out is impatience! :beee:
Although I have to say, I do expect it to connect a little quicker, but then again, it's not the end of the world.
