. I’ve read that the switch gear is an issue on these models but is there anything I can do to bring it down manually? Thanks for any suggestions. Help - screen stuck in up position
2012 R1200RT SE on 1st day of tour in Spain and screen has got stuck in the up position, right in line of sight so a bit of a safety concern and no wind blast to keep cool

A BMW recovery technician told me that the switches don't like heat.
Try covering the switch and/or put the bike in the shade.

Thanks David, left it 30 minutes once at Hotel and tried again and it’s working. Canbus re-set
