Michelin Road 5 GT UK

In short, don't hold your breath.  Enquired a couple of days ago and Michelin said they do not have a planned release date in UK for the Road 5 GT fitment.  Lots of words about how they don't recommend the standard version for the RT too.  PR4GT is still the recommended tyre

So, a choice:  Go for another set of PR4GTs (been happy with them so far) or try the Metzeler Roadtec 01 (bike came with Z8s and I thought they were awful).  Which to chose?

As someone who has a relative lifetime putting PR2/3/4/4GTs on replacing any OEM tyre on a range of bikes I tried a Metzeler Roadtec 01s and I am a convert... Until the PR5 starts winning in reviews against the new benchmark I'm very happy with Metzeler.  It is only a positive as a rider that things keep moving forward...  Peter
