I was thinking about an upgrade, but then I realised instead that I could keep my perfectly marvellous 1200LC and add one of the new Enfield Interceptors for the same money (£5.5k for a nice 650 twin - how?).  Entirely different bike, but they look just right for something to sling yer leg over for a Sunday morning blast.

Picked mine up yesterday. Took a pic while I was doing the paperwork in the dealership.

Nice, I'm still looking at the 1st week of April for delivery to the dealer. Been waiting since Jan, so quite looking forward to it now.

Did you go for a bike built at the factory? I chose something off their stockist so that I didn't have to wait. Was told that a production line bike would take 8 weeks, I'm going to Spain before then so that didn't work.

Yes, I wanted Mars Red, all they had in the UK was Carbon Black, so it had to be built

No same screen. I have ordered the sport screen with my bike, which is smaller. Reasoning is, might be better for Summer and I have a Werks Quiet ride screen which I'll put on the new bike, which is a brilliant bit of kit. I rode my bike today with the standard screen and I had forgotten the difference between my aftermarket screen and standard.

I just bought an '08, my first BMW.  I'm not even reading or watching reviews of the 1250 - I don't want to know what I'm missing.

I regularly ride an 07, different to the 1200LC and 1250LC, but I could quite happily own one, love riding it, loads of character - enjoy

Had a 2005 1200 RT for 7 years. Brilliant bike,  which I used for commuting and touring Europe. Only problem I had was the fuel strip which left me stranded me 2 miles from work when I didn't realise I had no fuel left.

You're not missing anything it's an excellent bike which is a pleasure to ride.
