Body panel screws

When I removed the body panels on my 2017MY RT LE for a deep clean, I realised that there are a lot (48 ?) of similar, but not the same, M5 Torx screws holding them all together.

It turns out there are three different lengths, two with shoulders and two without.  I'm not sure I put all the screws back where they belong and I don't want to go over them again then discover that I don't have a full set.  No problem, I went on to Motorworks and ordered a total of 20 screws (about half of a full set) - only £48.46 !!  :wonder:  I'd better make sure I don't lose too many !

Outstanding !

I doubt I have your patience (or skill),but I intend to ensure that when I replace screws in future they are the correct screw for the application.  I started out with good intentions last time, but there were too many screws with too little difference between them for my little brain.  The diagrams I now have (on A4 paper) I got from RealOEM and I'll use them as a checklist on re-assembly.

Thanks again for the videos - they're brilliant !  👌

After suffering the frustration of various bolt sizes I learned  to use a bit of painters tape and tape each bolt to the removed panel next to the hole it goes in. FYI my local dealer supplied me a assortment of bolts and plastic colliers in case I misplaced one, think I was charged about $20 for 20 or so bolts

I set out to try and do that but for one reason and another I gave up on it.  I'm sure it's a good idea, but I lack the patience apart from anything else !  :)

As for the price I paid for my screws, I think it is very high, but the prices I saw on eBay were approximately twice as much !  :o

Ebay or Motorworks are both reasonable.

Looks like a solution.
