BTW, Bob21 and David, my extra-wide windshield was on when both parts broke, and thanks for those links. I thought that "Beemer Boneyard" was simply a reference to actual wrecking yards, not a website! I'll be looking there in the future - these items are about half-price and are made of steel, thank god.

Dont break the lower arm on the screen adjuster connected to circlip 13. In the new rt lc, there is no circlip. You cannot remove. I had to replace the assy. Dont ask how i know.....
