A first long trip on my new 1250RT this weekend :-)

Post by STeinar »

Starting tomorrow morning at 05:00 - going to for precheck - checking this year BMW Norway tour in Austria :-)

First going to Semmering - and then taking one of the days-tours - to check that the roads are still there :-)
Well - also have to find a suitable place for lunch
Then - also tomorrow - going to St. Johann im Pongau - and then stay there for two nights
It will be some 650km tomorrow

Then in St. Johann im Pongau - I will check 3 day tours - also there for finding suitable lunch places.
That will be some 750km - hmm
Then on Sunday - the last day tour - short one 240km - and then home to Güssing.

Sofar the new bike are doing well , I need to install the gasoline enricher - same as I had on my 1200.
BoosterPlug:  https://www.boosterplug.com/shop/frontpage.html

The new seat (optional brown) - do work ok for me

One thing that needs to get used to - is that when you give throttle up - on your way out of the turn - and in the middle of the tourn the bike changes cams - you will have a small "nic" - as the bike setting the throttle off - for a fraction of a second - but in the beginning I thought I lost traction :-)

This is the roads I have to check out this weekend :-)

Sorry for the qryptic message ;-)

I ment the BoosterPlug : https://www.boosterplug.com/shop/frontpage.html
This one really works. Better low rpm performance - and the engine in general works better.  My Feeling - and that is what counts for me :-) )

It's nothing magick - only trikks the EDU to think it's colder than it is - and therefor give a little more fuel !

Have you followed any of Roger's threads on the BMWST forum? Very interesting:
