I was! Had a run up through the Trough of Bowland then onto Settle, Hawes, Kendal & Kirkby Lonsdale before heading back home to get the Triumph out for a couple of hours. It rained when I got home and I was persuaded into staying home with beer and a Kebab skewer I managed a couple of hundred miles on the GS though, its taken 2nd place to the RT for the last couple of outings.

Quick break in ride to bed-in the new clutch disc. I live in N. Alabama just south of the Tennessee state line, rode up to Lynchburg, TN about 50 miles away the long way, amazing two lane backroads there and back. I was riding conservatively waiting for the clutch to bed in and about 150mi (rode 70 miles around the area the last two days) I felt like it was good to go and started working it over a bit. This is one of the best all around bikes you can buy! Great fun winding it up on the backroads. 69F sunny (bit windy) and lots of traffic free backroads up to Lynchburg, TN, home of the famed Jack Daniels Old No. 7 Distillery.
Here are a couple of pics. The Indians are display only, they are limited edition cobranded bikes with Jack Daniels, they are doing one each for 7 years. The cutie at the shop told me they make 177 of each bike and they sell out in a few minutes. Great looking bikes!

Brilliant ride out earlier today. Only A & B roads from my home in Selsey West Sussex to Loomies in Hampshire. Perfect scenery with rolling hills on both sides. Cow and Sheep in the fields. After a cheap mug of Coffee(£1.20) at the cafe i turned the TT off and just rode East not knowing where i would end up. Many single track lanes later, seeing loads of places of interest that i will visit as the year goes on, I turned right and realised where i was. Just a mile from Whiteways cafe. Another bikers meeting spot. The Coffee is much dearer here but just as good. Met a few people i know and had a biking chat as you do. An hour later wheels rolling i headed for the last 30 minutes ride home. Checking the trip meter i had ridden 175 miles. With the peg lowing kit i got no cramps around my knees that i got before.
For a Saturday am surprised by the lack of other road users. In all a fantastic 5 hours out. From now on the SatNav is going to live in the pannier more. Its good to get lost sometimes.

Re: Anyone riding out today
A very wet ride out today around the Sussex Downs. Thanks to Charlie the roads were empty. Not that am not interested in the coronation it's just that UK TV will be showing the whole thing for the next 2 weeks. Found a farm that had a little coffee shop, which would make a great bike meet up place.
Now the leaves are on the trees, the Downs looks fantastic.
Off to another farm tomorrow with the grandkids. They love the place as they can get up close and stroke the animals.
