I'm almost 100% positive that I'll enjoy the bike. Had great test ride. BMW was quite generous with time so had one for half day.
Really seriously liked it that time. So I do not have  doubts it will be great bike.
Hopefully not only for me but also for my wife and daughter.

Thank you.
I wish to but as I understand the annual meet is 6th of July?
Unfortunately that date is reserved for family duties and I really can't escape that.

Well I didn't expect this but the other week I dropped in at Wollaston BMW and they made me an offer I couldn't refuse to upgrade to a 1250RT,  keyless this time!

Still stuck with the analogue instruments and the insecure sat-nav mount but I am a model closer to them if I want to upgrade when they eventually arrive.

What I do have now is the most delightful motorcycle to ride.  The engine is even better than a test ride implied, the suspension is just amazing and the 3 year warranty, lean sensitive ABS and traction control are all bonuses.  And quite oddly I found the SOS feature a significant factor in my decision making process - I hope never to need it, for me or anyone else, but I think it's a really good feature.

Did I say that the engine is incredible?  And the suspension?  The bike feels closer to my old W/C GS, it is much livelier due to the engine and the suspension smothers bumps in a quite GS like fashion.  It isn't quite as nimble but it isn't bad and my behind can cope with it for hours on end (which is the main point for me).  I'm just back from a 2,000 mile trip to the Aragon MotoGP round and I'm still smiling.  Absolutely no buyers remorse here!
