2020 Annual RT Meet

Post by David. »

The "2020 Annual RT Meet" will take place on the second weekend in July, i.e. Fri. 10th, Sat. 11th & Sun 12th July 2020.

Staying at the Premier Inn Peterborough (Ferry Meadows) hotel,
https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels ... B&BRAND=PI

The Saturday (11th July) ride out has been taken from "Bikers' Britain The Tours" - "Bedford Loop".
"It's the combination of great bends and a classic, photo-friendly English-country background that make these roads perfect.
The route has every kind of corner from fast turns and tight turns to S-bends and even a hairpin - all found in quiet, relatively traffic-free countryside."

These are roads I've not ridden before.

A Garmin BaseCamp .gpx route has been created should anyone wish to view it.

If anyone feels the urge to organise the weekend, please fire away. I'll kick it of with a suggestion for a destination & day ride for Saturday 4th July. Any other thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome.

How about this for an idea, stay at the Premier Inn Peterborough Ferry Meadows, https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/england/cambridgeshire/peterborough/peterborough-ferry-meadows.html

"Book it Danno"

I've got two scenic routes planned from Teesside to Peterborough & back via the Humber Bridge.

Have tried to book my accommodation, unfortunately, my credit card is not valid in July 2020.

Will have to wait until my new card arrives and try again.

I'm hoping to join next year's meet, I'd appreciate a look at the Garmin route for the Saturday ride out.

Shame it's the first week of July again, which clashes with my daughters birthday.

Sadly I'll have to miss it again.

I wouldn't think the date is set in stone yet John. Image

Hi John, as you are someone who has attended previous meets in 2017 & 2018, I'd be more than happy to move the dates. Are you free the second weekend in July, namely 10th, 11th & 12th.

Thank you David.

If the 10, 11th and 12th works for others, that would be brilliant. Tim and I could both make that.

That's just fine John. To avoid any confusion, I'll edit the dates in the first post within this thread to the second weekend in July 2020.
