Unless something changes, I'm going to buy a MotoBatt MBYZ16HD from Tayna Batteries. (Probably in March).
The specs say it will fit, give more cold cranking amps and cost less than a replacement battery bought from my local BMW dealer.

I hope you'll let us know what you decide on and how it fits.

The OP is looking for recommendations for a replacement battery to fit a 2014-2017 R1200RT.

I'm going to replace my bike's battery, and you'll see from my identifier that my R1200RT is a 2017 model year.

It is very important to be clear what bike you have since air cooled versions had very different batteries.

Use a Yuasa battery as they are a great battery and one of the few that actually make their own, not sell one made to spec and then some label wrapped on it.

Just like BMW do with an Exide battery!

I just installed this battery.  I can confirm the dimensions are Exactly the same as the OEM Exide battery
I paid $110 out the door

Thanks for the update.
I hope you get many years of good service from the new battery.

Thanks
The battery was readily available,  local,  1 year warranty,  more cold cranking amps, and somewhat cheaper than the OEM

Given the dimensions (170mm x 99mm x 155mm), I'm guessing it's too big to fit in a RT later than 2013.  The dimensions need to be within 150 x 90 x 160.

I tried to find an Odyssey battery suitable for my bike but they don't seem to make one.
