For me, riding alone is a bit dull, therefore, I'm most unlikely to be doing it.

"However, they reiterated that this should be done alone, or only with members of your immediate household".

"This being said, common sense should prevail and no-one should just be riding for the fun of it as we are still in a pandemic".

I'm the opposite, going for ride alone is the opportunity to get away from people, work and the general routine of life.

Done a number of European trips on my own over the last few years, once I've got over the first couple of days I'm happy with my own company.

Hampton Beach is just over the road from the Premier Inn (Hampton) Peterborough. So, if we arrange to meet on a 1:1 basis but don't tell anyone else, the RT meet should be good to go on 10th July, just after the pubs have opened on 4th July.

For safety reasons, having a riding buddy is a good idea, that's Markus & I covered.

"In all parts of the UK, gatherings of more than two people from different households - be they in public or on private land - remain banned."

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-52106843

"In England, it is now a reasonable excuse to be outside for recreation or exercise with one other person who doesn't live with you.

So, you could meet a friend or relative for a bike ride, walk or visit to a public park or garden - as long as you stay 2m (6ft) apart at all times - without fear of being questioned by the police."

That MCN article says

"However, they reiterated that this should ideally be done only with members of your immediate household or with one other, provided you maintain social distancing. The advice also stated that once you arrive, you should maintain a minimum of two meters distance from other members of the public."

Good enough for me!

I believe Lovetts are arranging things strictly by appointment only, the dealership itself is NOT open.
