Nice trio 👍 how do you find the torque on the 1250 Bandit to the 1200 RT?

That back light/number plate bracket is real ugly!

Indeed there is. I've cleaned mine, fitted new suspension, taken the Merc off the road...and now use the bike exclusively whenever I have to go anywhere. The last couple of weeks have been a delight!  :)

Interestingly, the weight, peak power and torque figures for the RT and the Bandit are very similar.  But as you can guess, they are very different bikes to ride.  Each has their own character.  All on here will be familiar with the RT experience but if you want an idea of what a Bandit is like, think 1980's GS1000 and you won't be far off.  It's decidedly old school.

I find that in general riding I use a similar RPM range on both bikes but, when 'making progress' or cracking on, I tend to reach into a higher RPM range more on the Bandit.  This probably has as more to do with the sound of the 4into1 than it has with any need to rev the bike harder to access performance.  (Yes, I am immature)  One area where there is a noticeable difference in performance is engine braking.  Shut the throttle on an RT and the engine braking is much stronger than it is on the 4-pot Bandit and this does allow for much more of a roll-on roll-off the throttle approach to control road speed.  My general riding style is to look a long way ahead and adjust speed with the throttle as much as the brakes and the RT is better at lending itself to this.

They are both decent bikes and I very much enjoy the fact that they are different.

On the MT07? That's my other half's bike. She only passed her test a couple of years ago and loves that bike. The moment Kate sat on it in showroom I knew it was going to cost me money. It is a hoot to ride. The light weight makes the handling so responsive. Kate rode it to the south of Spain last summer so it's not bad over a distance either.

As no one has commented on the RT, in midnight blue, you've got the best colour.

I agree, midnight blue with the silver lowers was the best colour on the hexheads.

You’ll struggle to find it in the snow.  :))

Nice bike,  would have considered white but the red just won out.
