Black Widow exhaust

Post by chappers2a »

Hi all, my exhaust headers on my 2016 RT are starting to show their age with rust spots that will not polish out. I am considering replacing them with some stainless steel ones made by Black Widow. Has anybody done this and if so how do they measure up for quality , keeping them clean etc. Also I would have to remove the flap thing in the exhaust-would that cause any problems? Thanks in anticipation.

Yep most of my words are in there, but I forgot to mention I fitted a healtech exhaust flap eliminator, no warning lights. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-R1200-R- ... 2749.l2649
And too early to say re cleaning etc.

I had a black widow system on my Tracer 900 GT. Found the quality was good, welds etc as you'd want. Only thing they did discolour fairly quickly. Every time I cleaned them up, didn't take long to discolour again.
